For how long have you been living in your current home?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 01, 2008:

From my official move in date, it's been three months, however, I have been staying at this condo complex almost 3, 4 days out of a week for almost a year. It's a little different when you come with an over night bag, and having all of your stuff here. My boyfriend calls it a pink invasion. I corrected him- purple is more like it.

I have been moving a lot, in the past few years. I've had my own apartment (for the inner freedom seeking Aqua child, I had a blast! I loved the freedom of walking around naked in my own apartment, singing on top of my lungs and my beagle was my only audience and #1 fan), lived with roommates in a huge house; I have moved from one town to the next all within San Diego county, but never thought I would move in with my boyfriend, or ANYONE, before marriage for that matter (I think I am the last person to be considered old fashion, but in some ways, I suppose I am), and this decision to move in was after some longggggggg soul searching.

You know, we've talked about this, my beloved and I, way early in the relationship. We were both oppose to it. To me, I simply have never done it before; and for him, his pasts proved it's never a good idea.

So there I was, standing by the doorway one day, watching him testing the new copy of key he made for me, then turned around, got down on one knee, and asked me to move in.

I guess somewhere along the way, we both changed our mind, reasons were many- one justifying the other, but most importantly- it just felt like the right decision for us.

Carlsbad is a beautiful town, a little busier beach town than Encinitas, Cardiff and other neighboring surf towns. We are blessed with ocean breeze, ideal climate, and our sun filled bedroom and living room. It's been an amazing 3 months.
